WHO WE ARE

With more than a decade of experience in the photovoltaic energy market

BRASIL SOLAR builds and enables Distributed Generation Photovoltaic Power Plants (UFVs) in several regions of Brazil. With a team of qualified professionals with extensive experience in the energy market, the company operates from the first stages of development of the basic project to the energization and operation of the plant, being one of the few companies with a completely verticalized solution. We offer our investors the opportunity to invest in a sustainable and highly profitable market, with the security of a market leader by their side.

How it Works

Brasil Solar's business model

  • Brasil Solar offers its investors the opportunity to invest directly in a Special Purpose Entity (“SPE”) that owns a distributed generation photovoltaic project.
  • Brasil Solar and the investors will be partners in the plant, which brings security to investors that the best measures will be taken to increase shareholder returns. In addition to being a partner, Brasil Solar will be responsible for the development and implementation of the project, as well as responsible for the O&M and commercial management of energy customers. With this “one stop shop” solution, Brasil Solar brings comfort for investors to enjoy the yields of the plants without worries.
  • Distributed generation plants will be remunerated through their rent by energy customers, whether individual customers in the remote self-consumption modality, or several consumer units organized in energy consortia through the shared generation modality. Energy credits are generated from the plants' power generation, which through the Electric Energy Compensation System, defined by Aneel's Normative Resolution – REN nº 482/2012, are used to offset the electricity bill of the plant's customers.
  • In 2022, Law 14,300/2022 was enacted, establishing the legal framework for distributed generation in the electricity sector, bringing greater regulatory security to investors, and consolidating once and for all the distributed generation market as one of the most interesting investments in the country.

Project Pipeline

Operating in 5 Brazilian states and with approximately 50 MW of projects under development, Brasil Solar will generate more than 111,750 MWh/year, and this is just the beginning.
